What is Special about this DVD?
This is a very rare All Regions 16:9 Widescreen release of a film featuring the best ever footage of Raquel Welch that is rare in nearly All Parts of the World. It is designed for an English Speaking Audience in every way. Also, you should read the Skin Factor below. Hannie Caulder is a first rate Western, and the first of the female gunslinger films. Welch and Culp are excellent, and very sympathetic characters. Borgnine et al are great gangsters, and the west is just as dusty and wild as it should be. This is an excellent film.

Plot Summary
Hannie Caulder (1971) is a first rate Western, and the first of the female gunslinger films. A gang of three brothers, after a botched bank robbery, decide to steal horses from a stage station. They kill the station agent, and all three rape his wife, Raquel Welch. She is bent on revenge, but she has no house, no gun, no horse, and only a makeshift poncho. Bounty hunter Robert Culp to the rescue. He is very reluctant at first, but decides to teach her to shoot. He has a gun made for her in Mexico, teaches her to use it, then advises her not to go after them. They are a nasty bunch (Ernest Borgnine, Jack Elam and Strother Martin) and Culp knows better than most that killing extracts a price from the killer. Since all three of her targets have prices on their heads, she has no trouble with the law.
