also known as: "House 3" , "This Time We're Not Kidding" , "House 3" , "The Horror House"
House was spooky
House II was weird
House III is scary as hell.
What is Special about this DVD?
In addition to being the rarest (and scariest) of the House films worldwide, this is the one that is highly appreciated for the nudity of Michelle Pfieffer's younger sister: Deedee Pfieffer
Interesting Trivia: Although its often thought to be the best, this actually wasn't planned to be part of the House Franchise of Films but the producers renamed this film "House 3 (1989)" for the non-US market. Because of the existence of this title, the owners of the "House" franchise had to rename their third film. Oddly Enough "House 3" is now remembered as the favorite of the House Franchise....
Plot Summary
Jesse and his friends explore the huge house that was left to him by his long lost family. To their surprise they find "Gramps", Jesse's 170 year old great, great grandfather, alive and kicking thanks to a magical skull he stole years ago which gives its owner immortality.
Detective Lucas McCarthy thought his troubles would end when he captured and witnessed the execution of mass murderer Klause Jenke. Upon his execution, Jenke curses Lucas, promising never to rest until he has his revenge. Before Lucas is able to resume his normal life with his family, Jenke returns from the dead to extract his hideous revenge. The horrors he performed before his death pale next to the circus of evil he now unleashes on the McCarthy family. Their quiet home becomes Jenke's doorway to hell. As the terror escalates, Lucas must enter that hell to save his family. He must relive the night of Jenke's capture... the night of his deepest fears. And here he must kill once and forever the most terrifying villain in years.
