What is Special about this DVD?
One of the better thrillers you'll see... it received several nominations and two awards in acting and best picture categories. It derives all of the suspense from the conflict, and building steadily until the end. Its presented here in All Regions Form. This is designed for an English speaking audience and is certainly the most generally compatible release of The Stepfather that there has ever been on DVD.

Plot Summary:
The Stepfather (1987) is a nifty thriller. As the film opens, we see Terry O'Quinn, who has just sliced and diced his family with the kitchen knives, and calmly showers, changes his appearance, and leaves on foot. Cut to a year later, when he is remarried to another widow in another town. His knew step-daughter, Jill Schoelen, is not impressed with him, which makes his dream of having the perfect family seem remote. Add to the mix the fact that the brother of his last victim has returned and is on his tail. It is clear almost from the beginning that Schoelen will send him over the edge, and there is no telling who will survive.
