Plot Summary
Gerard, a young student discovers a fragment of a Phoenician amhora in Corsica. Several years later he sets off onboard the boat of some traffickers, in search of the treasure he thinks he has found. Once more on the island, he falls in love with the young Manina (Brigitte Bardot). The remains are rediscovered, but the boat goes off with its precious cargo, leaving the young man on the island. The seafarers are shipwrecked and Gerard, still poor, consoles himself with Manina's pure love.
