Plot Summary
When after four years, Cliff Harnish returns to his hometown of
Pocahontas, Virginia, he hopes to put a stop to his parents divorce.
Despite his efforts this is not to be, and he watches his mother slide
into an alcoholic depression, whilst his father has already started a
new relationship. Soon, with his parent's divorce final, Cliff's
behavior becomes more and more violent and his parents prepare for what
is his final solution. They will learn about what Cliff did while he
was away and just what are his said beliefs... that is when the movie
gets pretty controversial.

Yes,
it is true, our reviewer has confirmed it. This was her 1st movie, and
her last nude scene (and also her 1st, of course.) Gillian Anderson
does have a nude love scene in "The Turning." To be very specific, she
gets topless as a love scene starts in the kitchen... they don't go
far... going after it on the kitchen floor.
